Background

Clue is a murder mystery game for three to six players. It was invented in 1944 by Anthony E. Pratt in Birmingham, England. However, it was not manufactured until 1949 due to post-war shortages. After its debut, it has been into several books, numerous games, and a live action film.

Main goal

The first thing that you have to do is stick three cards into the envelope that is provided. Those three cards tell you who the murderer is, what weapon they used and wherein the house that the event has taken place. the main goal is to find out what cards are in that envelope before someone else does. You also get to choose a cool character to play as. You have a choice of the following:

  • Professor Plum
  • Colonel Mustard
  • Miss Scarlett
  • Mr. Green
  • Mrs. White ( which has been discontinued in Hasbro’s game)
  • Mrs. Peacock
  • Dr. Orchid (replaced Mrs. white in 2016)

My experience

When I was a kid we played sometimes, but not too often. I mostly played with friends when they want to play something that took up some time. I honestly was never any good at this game. I had a hard time watching peoples body language, which is one thing that you want to be good at doing while playing. The only thing I liked about this game was the characters. I would always play as Mrs. Scarlett I don’t know why either. What is your go-to character when you play?
